I work with capable people and organisations who want things to be calmer, easier to sustain, at higher levels of performance.

Most performance problems I see aren’t personal. They’re mindset based and structural delivery models that hide what’s really happening, processes that quietly slow everything down, and decision-making that places too much pressure on too few people.

My work is about reducing that strain: making work visible, decisions lighter, and execution more reliable.

Experience That Shapes the Work

I’ve spent my career leading programme delivery, operational excellence, and transformation in complex, high pressure environments, including national infrastructure, regulated industries, global platforms, and fast-growing scale-ups.

I’ve led multi-disciplinary teams across engineering, QA, DevOps, architecture, and operations; overseen large, multi year programmes; stabilised underperforming delivery portfolios; and designed operating models that improve predictability, governance, and control.

Much of this work now involves process redesign, automation, and AI-enabled reporting as practical tools to reduce noise, surface reality, and support better decisions at pace.

How I Approach Improvement

Over time, a pattern becomes clear:

  • When delivery lacks observability, we substitute oversight with intervention

  • When processes are unclear, we compensate with effort

  • When systems rely on heroics, burnout becomes inevitable

My approach starts with clarity before optimisation: making work and risk visible, simplifying flow, and designing systems that support good behaviour by default. Operational excellence, in my view, is less about perfection and more about removing unnecessary strain, in work, business or home.

1-to-1 and Group Performance Coaching

Alongside organisational work, I also run 1-to-1 and small group performance and leadership coaching.

This is not separate from my delivery work, it’s informed by it.

I work with capable individuals who are:

  • operating at a high level, but carrying a disproportionate load

  • responsible for complex outcomes with limited margin for error

  • mentally busy, frequently reactive, and short on space to think

The focus is better thinking under pressure, reducing cognitive load, improving decision quality, and helping people lead and operate more deliberately.

Group work adds perspective and relief: the recognition that many pressures are systemic, not personal.

I founded UmocoEvo to support people and organisations who want better outcomes without higher personal cost.

The work spans delivery, operations, process improvement, automation, AI-enabled insight, and coaching, all in service of the same goal: making progress feel lighter and performance more sustainable.
